Subclass 482 visa. It is a temporary work visa that provides workers with a pathway that may lead to permanent residency.
SKILLS Requirement:
▸ Be nominated to work in an occupation
under ANZSCO Major Groups 1, 2, 4, 5, or 6
▸ A salary that meets the Income Threshold
a) A$73,150 for Core Skills occupations; or
b) A$141,210 for Specialist Skills occupations
▸ Have a minimum of 1 year’s full-time relevant
work experience;
▸ Work exclusively for your sponsor
(unless exempted for certain occupation
types);
▸ Meet the minimum English language
requirements (unless exempted);
▸ No age limit to apply for this visa;
However, age limit is 45 years to apply for
Permanent Residency through the 186 Visa
temporary transitional pathway after 2 years
of sponsored work holding SC482 visa.

Subclass 482 work visas can be applied through 3 different streams:

Specialist Skills Requirement:
Be nominated to work in an occupation listed under Major Groups 1, 2, 4, 5, or 6 of the ANZSCO
Have a salary that meets the Specialist Skills Income Threshold (currently AUD 135,000)
Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience in your nominated occupation or a related field
Obtain a relevant skills assessment, if required for your occupation
Work exclusively for your sponsor or an associated entity, unless exempt
Meet the minimum English language proficiency requirements unless you are exempt from providing proof
There is no age limit for the Specialist Skills Stream; however, the applicant must be under 45 to apply for Permanent Residency through the 186 Visa
Specialist Skills English Requirement:
IELTS overall 5.0, with at least 5.0 in each test component
PTE overall of at least 36, with at least 36 in each test component

Employers can sponsor a foreign worker with the subclass 482 visa through 3 different streams:
1) Specialist Skills stream

The employer sponsor must:
Be a registered Australian business entity with an ABN
Hold an approved and valid Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS)
Run a legally established and active business
Have no previous adverse history on employment or non-compliance to laws
Prove substantial turnover and financial viability
